This concerns the ecological and circular use of waste as a secondary raw material, and also its disposal according to current legislation. The production of electricity, heat and biomethane (composition identical to natural gas) will be consumed at the place of production.

The European Commission (EC) has published the first draft of its new law aimed at inducing Member States to significantly reduce their carbon emissions.

The plant, which will use electrolysis to convert energy from renewable sources to hydrogen, will grow in the north of the Netherlands and should produce up to 800,000 tonnes of hydrogen per year by 2040.
